craig sacra-ARTIST

Craig Sacra is a Florida-based artist working at the intersection of graffiti and fine woodworking. His practice translates the visual language of traditional graffiti lettering into solid hardwood, creating wall-based reliefs that emphasize material integrity, craftsmanship, and permanence.

Sacra began working in graffiti at a young age, developing hand-style lettering and visual identity within skate and street culture. Over time, that foundation expanded into commissioned and community-based projects, including collegiate work, architectural lettering, themed environments, and large-scale installations. Parallel to this, he developed a deep commitment to woodworking, studying form, structure, and material behavior through hands-on making.

Today, Sacra’s work brings these disciplines together. Each piece is constructed from carefully selected hardwood and colored with leather dyes that preserve the natural grain while achieving bold, saturated color. His work challenges conventional boundaries between street art and fine craft, offering objects that are both expressive and meticulously built. Sacra lives and works in Florida, where he continues to develop ongoing bodies of work rooted in this hybrid practice.
